Hi New Friends,

We wanted to suggest that you make sure your human parents get you a lyme disease vaccination if you have not had one as there are a lot of deer ticks in this area. Be sure they bring your rabies certificate with them.

Make sure you don't wiggle too much so they can comb you and check for ticks while you are visiting with us. A short hair cut is easier to check. We get puppy cuts still even thought we are four years old now. Rudy hates having his hair combed.

A flea bath when you get home from your visit is also a good idea. We get a bath about every 10 days. It usually depends on how much mischief we get into. One week we had a bath everyday so my human Mom used oatmeal shampoo as it doesn't dry our skin out as much. She was not very happy with us. There are just so many fascinating things and animals to see.

We are on a leash at all times, even when riding in the truck or on a golf cart. That's because Rudy likes to try and chase squirrels. I find the woodchucks interesting myself. I haven't spotted a skunk but Mom says there are some. There are lots of deer and wild turkey on the property too. In short always being on a leash keeps us out of trouble.

Mom and Dad always have a plastic bag in their pocket just in case we need to go potty at a time different than normal. Sometimes if we have been traveling in the fifth wheel for a few days, our systems get out of sorts and we are completely off schedule. Our parents always clean up after us.

We know how tempting it is to get barky at people and other dogs. However, since we are all here together as a group, you have to remember that if you don't behave, then you have to go home. If you know you are the really barky aggressive type then please don't come at all. Our owners have to breed restrict Rottweilers, Pit Bulls and other aggressive breeds as it is an insurance company requirement.

We have lots of fun here at Copake Camping Resort and are looking forward to having you here with us. Mom has dog treats under the counter that you can have at check in if your Mom and Dad say you can have one.

P.S. Where did our names come from? Chibi means "little one or small one" in Japanese and Rudy was named after the football movie Rudy.
